TUFFY

This is my most recent cat sculpture. This piece originated as a part of a demonstration for a workshop I taught at Philbrook Museum in Tulsa on "Textured Clay Animals". I began with a slab for the base and built the piece from the bottom up using textured slabs. I use a variety of objects to impress the clay with texture including lace, corrugated cardboard and handmade clay stamps.
